Progressive Insurance’s “Keys to Progress®” veteran vehicle giveaway program has been supporting veterans since 2013. This annual event, organized with great pride, involves Progressive employees volunteering across the country. They select vehicles for donation, raise funds, and plan meaningful giveaway events for veterans in need.
Event Locations: These vehicle giveaways primarily occur at various Progressive offices and Enterprise Rent-A-Car locations throughout the United States. Recipients are expected to live in or near these locations or arrange their travel. The program typically distributes vehicles in November each year.
Program Affiliates: Progressive collaborates with military and charity organizations to identify veterans requiring vehicles and purchases recent-model used vehicles from Enterprise Rent-A-Car for donation. They work closely with these organizations to administer the program annually.
Application Information: The application period for the 2023 giveaways has already closed. The next application period for the “Keys to Progress” veteran vehicle giveaway program will commence in the Spring of 2024.
Program Support Areas:
1. Personal Transportation Support: The program aims to provide relief and improve the lives of military men and women facing challenging personal circumstances where a vehicle can make a significant difference. This includes helping with employment, school transportation for children, medical appointments, and visiting loved ones.
2. Commercial Vehicle Needs: Vehicles are also available to assist veteran-focused organizations, non-profits, and veteran-owned small businesses.
Please note that recipients are responsible for applicable taxes and fees. To be considered for this program, individuals must apply through a non-profit organization, such as a charity or military association like a VFW post, and meet the specified criteria. Additional information on eligibility can be found in the FAQs.
