Assistance with Insurance and Banking Services for Maui Residents Affected by Wildfires

The Maui News

A two-day event dedicated to providing Insurance and Banking Assistance Center services will be held this weekend for Maui residents impacted by the wildfires that occurred on August 8th.

This event is scheduled to run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. today and Saturday, and it will take place in the Whalers Village parking lot located at 2435 Kaanapali Parkway. Insurance Commissioner Gordon Ito explained that the previous weekend’s event had to be cut short due to evacuation orders following a wildfire outbreak in Kaanapali. Therefore, a second event has been organized to ensure that residents receive the assistance they need.

In a news release on Thursday, Ito stated, “The upcoming event will bring together representatives from insurance companies and financial institutions and will include several new participants to help with the insurance claims process and address the needs of homeowners. We remain dedicated to supporting Maui during this challenging time.”

Participating entities include: Allstate, First Insurance Company of Hawaii, HEMIC, Island Insurance, Liberty Mutual Fire Insurance Company, Progressive, State Farm, Zephyr Insurance Company, Freedom Mortgage, Hale Mahaolu, LoanCare, LoanDepot, Nationstar Mortgage, PennyMac Financial Services, and Shellpoint Mortgage Servicing (today only).
